Choreographer Nicky McGinty presents six ballet and fitness programmes designed to target and firm specific body parts as well as give you an overall cardiovascular workout.
Ballet Fitness is a unique fusion of ballet and fitness programmes created by ballerina and professional choreographer, Nicky McGinty.

These six routines are themed around the major ballets and have been designed to target and firm specific body parts as well as give you an overall cardiovascular workout. In addition, Ballet will help you locate and strengthen your core muscles and flatten your tummy. These sequences consist of barre work, floor work and some great dance routines.

Practising these routines will help you build a long, lean, strong ballet body and help you lose weight. Nicky McGinty has been a dancer, choreographer, circus performer and teacher over the past 17 years. She resides in London and teaches both dance and yoga.

    Fire Bird is a floor routine designed to target the mid section and back of the body. A Dancer is trained to have a strong core and centre from which to move from. These postures help build strong abs and back muscles for a tight tummy and straight posture.

    This floor routine is deigned to target the lower body. By using the large muscles of the legs and butt, Nicky leads you through rhythmic exercises to build strength and tone those hard to target areas.

    A ballerina's strength and grace stems from the ground up. A dancer needs strong feet, ankles and legs in order to move with grace and beauty. These exercises will keep your lower body strong yet subtle so you can stay injury free.
